Class Curriculum |
| Pre-School |
This class will help develop the child's body awareness, balance, and vocabulary. It will also increase thier gross motor skills and attention span. Most importantly, it will enhance their self-esteem. The 3 year old classes are Creative Movement, taught in groups no larger than 6, lasting 30 minutes. The 4 year old classes are Creative Movement and Tap & Tumble, taught in groups no larger than 8, lasting 45 minutes. |
| Level 1 Classes |
Beginning Ballet and Tap classes are offered to these age groups. Classes are one hour long, and taught in groups no larger than 12 -14. Classes are also separated according to age. |
| Level 2 to 5 Classes |
Ballet, Pointe, Tap, Jazz and Modern are offered. Level 2A: Advanced Beginner Levels 2 to 5 range in age, and are based on ability. Please call Jeanne for placement in these levels. |
| Tumbling/Acro Classes |
Tumbling and Acrobatic Gymnastice Classes are offered ate beginning, intermediate and advanced levels. Students will learn limbering and power tumbling skills. Non-competitive classes are held at the dance studio, and the competitive team classes (C.A.T.T.) are held at the Hearnes Center. |
| Acrobatic Gymnastics Classes |
Acrobatic Gymnastics (Acro) emphasizes the combined beauty of dance and acrobatics. The sport is governed by USA Gymnastics and is soon to be an Olympic sport. Acro is fun for students because it is a partner sport requiring athletes of all ages, shapes, and sizes. The combination of dance, tumbling and partner skills make Acro very unique. This sport will enhance the student in many ways including: physical strength, flexibility, agility, balance, and grace, as well as the ability to work with others. |
